Has Scotty read this great report on how lobbying is stopping right to repair? Could he get the message out?
Great report here on how lobbying and monopoly is stopping the government to pass regulations that would make cars much easier and cheaper to repair.
It points out we are all aware cars could be designed to be a lot easier to repair. Yet the gov does not do nowhere near enough to pass the regulations that could make that happen. It points out lobbying (donations to government parties to help then win elections) - is stopping this dead. Well worth reading. We really need to get this message out - lobbying is bad and needs to be STOPPED.

Here's the answer: Don't buy what you don't like. Vote with your money. Revenue is what really drives change.
I don't trust the government to do anything right when it comes to regulating industry. They are good at killing industry, and making thins cost more, adding bureaucracy, and increasing the size of government. That's it. So I don't put any faith in bills like this.
This is the ugly truth everybody will have to come to terms with eventually: We live in a disposable society now. Nobody actually cares about repair, and that's why it's disappearing. When it actually comes time to buy a car, it is the absolute last priority for most people. People think they can just talk about it online, and then offload the problem on the government, and the problem will go away.

Scotty has discussed the right to repair issue in his videos.
