I know a lot of folks don't agree with buying new cars for many reasons but I've had 2 new cars in the last 36 yrs and they did me well(Honda civic and Toyota van). I'm looking to buy a new one, preferably honda or civic within 20000-29000 price range and would appreciate anyones recommendations. I don't need speed or bells and whistles. Just a practical reliable long lasting new model. Cars are just a sensible mode of transportation to me. Because in my youth I had such bad luck with cars(basically, usually screwed over by salesmen and mechanics)so I just bought new and drove them until they died. I'm usually a very patient stoic non-violent guy but when I'm in the presence of car salesmen it turns my stomach and I want to bash them in the head. Any help in expediting this process would be greatly appreciated.
That makes the two of us.
You’re on the right track. Stick to the Corolla/Camry and Civic/Accord and you should have the best chance at reliable transportation, in the present new car market.
Nothing wrong with the Civic Sport. Falls in your price range, has a really nice design, reliable, great MPG.....maybe take a look in person.
