Hello

Hello Scotty, planning on buying a 2017 Nissian Altima with only 21,000 mileage on it, can you guys let me know if they are reliable cars.

How many years and miles do you need it to last you?

up to 100k miles. Get a Toyota or Honda for longevity and reliability.

Not very reliable. As @yaser said, you may get to 100k. Anything after that is a dice roll.

It all depends on how many years and miles you need it to last you.  If you plan to keep the car for as long as possible and put hundreds of thousands of miles on it, then no.  But if you plan to keep for a few years and not drive much then it could be OK.

Nissans are good only if you are the type of person who buys a new car every 5 years or whenever it hits 100k miles or if you’re an old lady/old man who doesn’t drive much. I had a 2013 Altima and the transmission started to go out at 80k miles but I drove it like a maniac. I’d go Honda or Toyota if you plan to keep the car for 10+ years. If you drive slow, don’t drive much, are religious with maintenance, or like to buy a new car every 5 years, go ahead and get the Altima.
