Hello Scotty the great. Have you heard or have information on Toyota coming out with a compact pick up on a Rav-4 platform. I just read an article that Toyota is coming out late 2023 with a Rav-4 pick up or Toyota stout as they called it. It is to compete with the Ford Maverick as the Rav-4 depleting sales. I would appreciate your input on this possibility. Thank you

where did you hear that?
I'm guessing this is what OP is referring to:
https://www.motortrend.com/news/toyota-compact-pickup-truck-under-consideration/
Nowhere in that article (published June) does it say that Toyota has announced a pickup.
In fact , VP of Toyota sales said "Toyota won't have anything for the 2023 year model,"
Yes it says nothing for 2023 model year but OP said a truck coming in late 2023 which means it's pretty likely that it'll be a 2024 model year which is one of the years stated in the article. And aside from this an article like this is a speculation so I'll be taking it with a grain of salt too, but since it was talking about a new truck I thought it's what OP might be referring to.
All I see is a lot of conjecture and clickbait on the internet, and all of it is based on one report that Toyota registered the name "Stout" in Argentina.

I am really loathing all the car websites, because they are just making stuff up, rather than reporting something real. Waste of time.
as the Rav-4 depleting sales
As of right now the Rav4 is still the best selling non-pickup in the U.S. so not sure about this part.
But as @mmj said above there are always these kinds of headlines out there on the internet, but whether it really happens or not is a totally different story.

It already exists since decades, just that it’s not currently sold in North America. It’s called the Toyota Hilux -

Doesn't the Tacoma fill that role?
The Hilux is a size smaller.
