I have a 2005 Honda Accord lx with 106k miles that Randomly cuts off like once a week . I replaced the ignition switch and thought maybe that was it . However it wasn’t .. when the engine stalls and cuts off the oil and battery light pop on after the car sits for about 30 mins it’ll crank back up and run like new . What could this be? I need help !!!
Have you had it scanned for any codes?
Yes sorry there is no codes
It does not sound like an ignition problem but a fuel problem. I would see about a new fuel filter and check the output pressure of the fuel pump.
How do you do that? I wasn’t able to locate the fuel filter .. and how do you check the pressure ? The fuel pump is in the trunk
The fuel pump is in the tank.
The fuel filter is attached to the frame rail under the driver's side. It is an easily replaceable canister type.
If a car cut out from lack of fuel, you may hear it sputter trying to run.
I say this is likely a sensor issue. Don't buy chinese.
