Hi scotty I have been a tech for about 10 yrs but always worked on cars I have a 1988 ford mustang with a 351w carbureted 5 speed and I noticed my car makes a blump blump blump sound only when I'm accelerating it does not do it at idle or when I'm reving it up I feel as if I should know this but I figured I'd ask what your thoughts are on it

With your experience, we'll have to assume that mechanically, everything is in working order. Next thing would be to isolate the sound. Where is it coming from? Front, back underneath? Do you hear it outside? How loud is it? Can you describe the sound compared to something familiar? "Blump" to me, I imagine tire rubbing the fender.
