Help with Thinktool Pros Scanner

Hey Scotty so I recently purchased a Thinktool Pros scanner off Amazon for around ~$1100. It seems like it had a bunch of functionality and all as I’m starting to work on my car more and do my own maintenance, but I’m noticing it doesn’t even provide fuel trim PIDs for my car in the live data stream and seems to lack other PIDs as well. Is there an equivalent PID metric or would it be called something else? My cheaper $100 Foxwell scanner provides fuel trim readings… am I doing something wrong or does this scanner lack capabilities for certain makes and models? Any other high level scan tool you’d recommend? Car is a 2009 Nissan 370z with approx 100,700 miles and a manual transmission.

Select Long FT and Short FT (for each cylinder bank) and anything else you want.

PRESS OK

The values are displayed:

You can even press the Graph button and graph them:

Ivan Temnykh uses a Thinktool Pros in a lot of his repair videos.

These are screenshots from one of his videos

I’ll have to double check but there were no Short or Long FT PIDs under the engine data stream for my 370z.

Contact the seller on Amazon.

Yeah there is not Long or Short FT PIDs. Maybe it’s not supported for certain Nissans or the 370z… I had this same issue with the XTOOL D8 and returned it. I guess these Chinese companies can’t be relied on for a comprehensive scan tool
