400,000 mi is pretty good for a transmission. I would be happy with that. You can try some additive and see if it improves. Other than than looks for a new car while you drive this one into the ground.

You were lucky to be able to get that mileage out of that car. Just baby it and when the transmission goes out, junk the car.
