Hey Scotty I have a 2013 Nissan Sentra SR that is well maintained. The issue I am having with it is that it making a slight crackling/popping noise from under the hood. The noise sounds like it’s coming from somewhere near the engine block when I open the hood. What can be the issue. I first noticed this a few months ago, I took my car in for regular service and that day the noise was gone. They did a regular oil change and I mentioned the noise but there was no noise and nothing was done about it. The noise recently started happening again, any ideas on what the issue may be? All answers and inquires are appreciated. Thank you.
Hey Scotty I have a 2013 Nissan Sentra SR that is well maintained. However, I am hearing a light crackling/popping noise coming from what appears to be coming from the engine block area. It usually happens at low speeds/RPMs and it isn’t very loud. I have heard this noise before, and it seemed to have go away but it has returned. I went to the dealership for an oil change and I mentioned the noise to them. That day the noise was miraculously gone before I even arrived at the dealership. I thought it was due to the weather bc it had just gotten warm/springtime in Chicago. They did change my oil at the dealership, and I thought maybe it was the oil change that helped the noise go away, as well as the warm weather. However this was not the case, as the noise has returned. Any ideas on what the issue can be?

Is there anyway when it occurs you can record a video of it so we can hear it and point to where you think it’s coming from please.
