08 tacoma headlight replacement never clear coat cracks in 2 years

Well if the clear coat on those new headlights hasn't cracked yet that is good! Usually it takes a few years for headlights to start oxidizing. If you park outside, that usually speeds up oxidizing because UV rays are constantly hitting the headlight. If those replacement headlights were high quality, then they should stay clear for a while.
