Hey Scotty watch your show all the time, never thought I’d be asking you for help.
Have a 2016 Honda crv front wheel drive 108k miles Cvt
started with having flat spots while taking off and while accelerating
now it’s stalling while trying to take off from stop. Shows no codes and my regular mechanic hasn’t figured it out. Our local Honda dealer is ……….
I’ve replaced MAF sensor, my wife is driving my 93 Camry 4cyl wagon ( the dog mobile) that I rebuilt the running gear, good for 200k more miles, while we try and figure out the problem.
1999chevy 4wd tahoe
1993 celica convertible
1993 Camry wagon
1992 dodge D250 Cummins
1950 GMC one ton flatbed
love older vehicles
Shop found a crack in the intake hose downstream of the mass airflow sensor. Replaced and runs like a champ. Makes sense why it wouldn’t throw a code. Thanks for your input.

Well you can get flat spots from zillions of different things. When I work on one of those I put on my fancy scan tool check all the possible codes because there are codes that only fancy scan till the show, then ticket for a road test and record the live data. I then analyzed it from there. It could be anything from a clogged fuel filter to a weak fuel pump to problems in the fuel injectors. The vacuum leads even a blowing head gasket. You have to start with the data and go there. Now. If you're near Clarksville Tennessee, I'm here for the next 3 months. I check them out for you Monday through Friday
Thank you for your input, I’m great with older vehicles and motorcycles. But electronics….. just not my thing nor do I have the scanners. Will take this to a local shop that specializes in Honda’s. Great show you have, wish I was in your neck of the woods. Live in northern Ca and they are different on their take of the current situation going on 🤔
keep up the good work of helping people
you’ve definitely found your calling, it’s very rewarding
