Hey Scotty. What would you buy between a 2007 Honda CRV with 175K miles or a 2012 Honda Accord with 185K miles. Both are 2.4L engines, automatic front wheel drives. Both are in good condition from the same used car dealer. Both are the same price.
Older, high mileage vehicles being sold by a used car dealer is a big red flag. The quality of their goods is frequently suspect as are their asking prices. It is very likely they will try to rip you off.
You can get an idea of failure trends at sites like carcomplaints.com. However when dealing with used cars the actual current condition is more important than how reliable it was when new.
You would need a good mechanic to inspect either or both before purchase to determine which is actually in better condition. If the dealer won't let you do a pre-purchas inspection, run away.

It depends on what kind of vehicle do you need. A sedan or an SUV. Do you want cargo room, or do you want fuel economy. The accord is also 5 years younger, if rust is a problem in your area.
