hi dear. could u plz talk about the new engine of Ford Super Duty 7.3 gas. Im kinda not sure wheither to buy the 7.3 gas engine or 6.2 gas engine. regards
That 7.3 GODZILLA motor you’re asking about is to new to know if it’s really reliable or not. I would warn you to be aware of the crap 10 speed transmission it’s paired up with. People are having numerous problems with those. If you absolutely want a Ford buy the 6.2. I believe you can still get that motor with a 6 speed. The 6.2 is known to go 200k miles or more.
7.3 is a diesel. The 99-2002 and some 2003's were 7.3. Great engines. I personally have one and refuse to sell it even though I've been offered way over blue book value. If you can find a clean 7.3 under 200,000 miles, buy it.
Ford came out with the 7.3 gas motor within the last couple years. Although you are right about the old 7.3. That motor can go forever.
What will the truck be used for, and how many years/miles are you looking to get out of it?
The OLD 7.3 Powerstroke turbodiesels were the most reliable diesel ever made (sorry cummins people)
Not sure about the new gasoline one.
