Hi, i have a 2006 mercury montego with 55000 miles from my grandma and no one remembers the door code for keyless entry (dont have the owners manual). Can i get the code using an obd scan tool, or do i have to check behind the fuse box? Thanks

Take a look at the inter fuse panel (smart junction Box) and in most cases you will find a small white sticker on it with the 5 digit code (5 large numbers). Check the back side of it, it's a royal PITA.
Video is for a Ford 500, which is same as the Montego, but you get the idea what's involved and where to look.
