Hi
My car details is:
2012 Kia Sorento diesel 2.2L 4 cylinder, 6 speed auto. Build date January, and odometer 710,000 km (441,000 miles)
The harmonic balancer has a crack on it, and it feels like a rubber surface
The cheap aftermarket replacement which I bought, it doesn't have a rubber surface on it.
So I did some research on chatGPT and found that cheap aftermarket knock offs don't put rubber dampers and that it is unsafe or not recommended to use.
Is this true?
My mobile mechanic has agreed to come and remove the old harmonic, and install the new one. As I've been struggling to do it by myself as the bolt it just too hard.
I've attached pictures of my situation.

Install an OEM replacement part.
