I want to purchase a 08 mustang with a new motor the guy claims to have 90,000 miles on the new motor but don’t know where to find the vin number on the block or where to search the number up on

The 2008 Mustang VIN number can be found on top edge of the dash on the driver's side visible through the windshield.
