My names Matt I'm from Georgia, I'm looking into a 2007 Toyota Solara with 15k miles (yes 15k). It's on a dealers lot and they want $16k. Is it a good deal? If you happen to respond in a video please let me know, thanks man

they want $16k

That's almost new car money for a 16 year old car.

That's not much less than what these used to cost NEW.

Not to mention how they didn't drive particularly and well and that the 2.4L engines were plagued with issues, and let's not forget the timing belts on the V6, etc.

I fully agree with @ChuckTobias, the millage on that car is very suspicious.

It's more likely to have been rolled back than to be the real genuine millage.

And that still wouldn't justify the price, it's a 16 year old car derived from an economy midsize sedan...

Is it a good deal?

Add a few grand and buy a new generation Corolla - it's a better car than some old Camry variant.

It also has a wheel base within 0.8 inches of each other

and width within 1.4 inches of each other

a corolla isn't much smaller than that old "mid-size" car.

Dealer sales are always a red flag, especially when they involve older vehicles. The mileage is highly suspicious for a 17-year-old car and may well be fraudulent. The price of $16,000 for that 17-year-old Solara is outrageous
