Hi Scotty, I have a 1965 Tbird, 390, 4 barrel Carb. When i start it up the engine hesitates and accelerates. Only when i give it gas, it maintains "proper idle'. What is causing this engine problem?
Your post originally had the question in the wrong place. The subject line is for a short description and your question should go in the main body of your post. (Subject lines have a length limitation and will get cut off if too long.) We've fixed this one for you, but please take note of the following for future reference. Thank you.
Most likely a carburetor problem, particularly if it has not been rebuilt in recent years with ethanol-resistant components. However, you'll want to check the usual suspects such as vacuum leaks, ignition points, spark plugs, timing, etc.
