Honda HRV burning oil

Hi Scotty, I have a Honda Hrv 2005 with 250k miles. My car is burning about a 1 litre of oil every 600 miles/1000 kms. Do you think it could last for about 4 more years if I keep adding every time?

Well at that rate your cat will  probably mess up.  It may go another 4 years as long as you keep adding oil. You really have nothing to lose with this approach.

It went through a head gasket repair and ran fine for about 2 months no issues. The head gasket was blown because of a bad radiator which had a tiny leak for a really long time and noone noticed it. Do you think this will decrease the longevity by any means?

The buring oil will eventually make the cat go bad. This will effect the cars computer. It will change how the car runs with the fuel map and such. Eventually this will cause the engine to die sooner. To get all the life  you could add some product to your engine to cut the burning oil down. I have seen them work. Just realize if will not fix the engine , just buying some time.

Do you have any suggestion on such products?

Bars oilseal. Just make sure to follow directions per bottle
