Hi Scotty, I have Chevy cobalt 2010 and i was driving today and all of sudden the car just stop. And i used code reader it's po717 and po700 transmission input problem and called one mechanic told the code he said i need to buy a transmission😒 {black}:scared: please help. 🙏

If you're lucky it could be just the trans input speed sensor and/or shift solenoids. I'd get a second opinion before condemning the transmission. Stay away from dealers as well as chain shops like Pep Boys, Midas, Firestone, etc., find a good independent mechanic to take a look at the car.

Take the car to an honest transmission pro to check.
