Hi Scotty, got screwed on a used Lexus , I’m looking for something safe, and reliable for my son. Do you know if 2025 Chevy Trax LX are decent?

Pass. The US models are built in South Korea, not the US, and GM quality is pretty much rock-bottom at this point.

They are popular because they're inexpensive, or what passes for inexpensive these days. There's a reason for the low price - cheap, bargain-basement engineering. I would not expect much in the way of longevity out of that turbocharged 3-cylinder engine and the rest of the car will likely start falling apart shortly after the warranty expires.
If I was going to spend that kind of money on a car I'd rather buy a good used Corolla or Civic.
