DS is just a fancier Citroën.

Although they’re stylish cars, their petrol engines (especially the 1.2L EB2) don’t last too long and parts can be hard to get.

The DS to get is the previous generation DS3, it’s actually great. but pay special attention to the DP-series 4 speed automatic transmissions, they did have a lot of solenoid issues. And also have the 1.6L EP6 engine checked by a professional mechanic.

the new DS3 / DS7 is quite nice, it shares most of its parts with the Peugeot3008/ Citroën C5 but the electronics are so complex that I wouldn’t risk keeping one after the warranty period.

but the new DS9, not yet available in Europe, looks to be a great value.

Are you talking about The Goddess? Amazing cars that in 1955 looked like they were dropped out of a flying saucer, but that hydraulic system is a bear to keep working.
