Hi, took my car to the mechanic and got it back with a misfire issue, changed the inyectors and sparkplugs and same issue happens, number one cylinder is not okay, it makes rattling noises from the valves and the exhaust smells like pure gasoline. The wreckanic said it is the distributor and it made no difference when replaced, the other guy I spoke to said it is the lack of compression, it idles rough and seems to miss the spark in number one, what do you make of this, apart from the fact my mechanic sucks...

Well the easiest thing to do is to take all the spark plugs off and do compression test wet and dry of the cylinders and if that cylinder is low there, yeah it's worn out internally
