Are more people using high beams or are headlights just brighter?

different headlights with a bluer spectrum, and higher SUVs which put the headlights closer to your mirrors

HID's are used on a lot more vehicles than they used to be. Thus the increase in bright headlights.

Yes. I have to turn my side mirrors down from the glare.
