- Scotty, which should I buy if you had a choice? 2010 Toyota Highlander with 157,000 miles or 2011 Acura MDX with 112,000 miles. Both all wheel drive. Looking for something that will last and be reliable for a long time.

Both are better than anything out there. Slight edge in the Highlander.
If you choose the MDX, make sure to set aside some money to do the timing belts if it hasn’t been done yet.

The biggest complaints on the highlander is bad gas mileage, the mdx gets horrible mpg too though.
The mdx shows more expensive repair complaints. I would really want to know that the mdx had it's transmission fluid changed a while ago. They have several complaints for oil burning too.
With the mileage on the highlander, I would hope the trans fluid was changed around 100k at least.
I would lean fairly hard to the highlander. Price and maintenance records may make me lean the other way though.
