Hi Scotty. I was recently hit by a commercial vehicle while parked and now Mt car won't start, it was running fine before the collision.

It is a 2002 GMC ENVOY XL 4WD with a little over 200,000 thousand miles.

Their insurance company is saying it had nothing to do with being hit.

Please help

Have you tried starting it in Neutral?

How would the insurance company know if the non-starting issue was not caused by the impact. First you need to have the problem properly diagnosed, then the mechanic would better be able to determine if the accident was the cause.

That vehicle is over 20 years old so it's going to be difficult to get them to do anything. The problem might have been caused by the accident or it might be coincidental. In any event they would certainly be liable for any physical damage resulting from the collision.

See the site FAQ on diagnosing a no-start condition.
