Scotty! Just curious, what are your thoughts about Honda Accords especially the late model ones? How long have you've seen them last? My parents had one with 350K miles.Thanks.

Maintain them well and they can last a very long time.

I have a 2020 Accord 2.0T Sport. There are a couple of things you should know before you think about purchasing one of these.

The first is oil dilution. Honda has had some oil dilution issues with the 1.5T and even some of the 2.0T motors. This is caused by gasoline mixing with the oil and actually increasing the oil level. Seems to be hit or miss on whether or not your car will have the issue. Mine does not so far, but at 2,300 miles I can't say it won't.

The other thing is both engines are GDI Turbo motors, so you have direct injection plus a high pressure turbo pumping into the engine. This creates A LOT of pressure and tends to cause engines to wear out faster. I'm not sure I would bet on either motor hitting 350k like the naturally aspirated motors did previously. Also, you will want to invest in an oil catch can to prevent carbon buildup on your valves. With no fuel flowing over the intake valves to clean them, over time the carbon will really gunk things up.

Also, read about the rattle issues with interior trim pieces. Mine has quite a few since 1k miles. Mechanically it has been great but I'm a bit disappointed with the interior quality so far.
