I have a Honda Accord model .
model : Honda Accord 2006 model
3 liter v6 engine with automatic transmission.
problem : multiple problems
Issue1 : when driving in D mode or drive mode , with speed increase car has heavy jerks at different vehicle speeds.
first one coming close to 40kmph(maybe due to auto shifting internally)
2nd one at 80kmph
3rd one at 120 kmph .
Alternately to avoid jerks I m running vehicle in 2nd gear knob position. This helps upto 80kmph but beyond I need to shift to D3 mode!
Issue2 : the car switches off automatically during drive and doesn’t crank. Mostly loosing idle rpm and switching off . It doesn’t crank and run for next 30-45 mins and later it’s Driveable. It happens in below two conditions.
Condition1 : if vehicle is driven in a rough way with high acceleration and deceleration the vehicle will slowly stall and switch off if speed is below 40kmph. This can happen in 20-45 mins . And it doesn’t crank run for next 30-45 mins.
Additionally if Ac is switched on , it stalls faster maybe in 15 minutes also in hot climate.
condition2: during long driving and a decent driving with avg speed gradual acceleration and deceleration. The vehicle can run up to 3 hrs and then stall .
I have sent to service center, they changed the torque converter and still issue persists. Further not clear how to proceed.
Two Ecu errors are being shown on transmission related.
TCS error is also one more!
pls help how to proceed!
Clarification: Mileage on the vehicle?
@motorcycleman please copy your answer and place into the ‘Your Answer’ section down below. Thank you.
The dealer is not your friend and no one is going to solve that error for you without experience.
Try a new mass air flow sensor from Honda, learn to do things for your self.
I bet you gotta wait before it starts back up, call customer service about your concern.
