Honda Accord Suspension issues

Hello Scotty,

Thanks you for all your tips and ideas shared in this forum.

I have a 2010 Accord with 135k miles on it and the vehicle is still in mint condition with the Engine/transmission side of it but I am having issues with Suspension. I don't want to change the vehicle just for this issue and replaced the shocks 2 years back with a Honda dealer, it was smooth for some time but the issue has resurfaced - I can feel every small pothole / uneven surface on the road. Working with a local mechanic, I got the control arm changed. It helped for some time but it looks like I am back to square one. One thing I notice is that the vehicle feels better when it has some luggage - I get a better ride.

Could you please advise on what could be wrong and what best can be done to fix this?
The vehicle is garage maintained for the last 11 years - It is time for a new vehicle and I'm planning for Acura MDX. I would like to retain this as a second car if I am able to fix this issue.  Please help with your recommendations.

Thanks,
Prasanth

Get new struts and shocks - KYB or Bilstein.

Are the OEMs/ones replaced by Honda not reliable?

The dealer may well have installed some cheap Chinese knockoffs and charged you for the genuine article.

Thank you doc.

I looked up Bilstein and it is not available for my make/model., let me check KYC.

Are the OEMs/ones replaced by Honda not reliable? My experience is that the shocks i replaced last less than 15k miles. Anybody having similar experience?

.. wow ..unbelievable! does that happen at a Honda dealer? I got the work done at a top-tier Honda dealer in North Texas and i even do my usual oil change there till now.(last 11 years!). I checked with them and they say the warranty is only 12,000 miles/6 months as i remember which is very less and I think vehicles usually run more than 100,000 to the least before having issues with suspension.

Anybody in the forum has recommendations on a good suspension specialist in/around Dallas area? Please help with your inputs ..
I don't want to do it with the dealer again and don't want the usual chains of stores which are rip-offs ..

I don't know anything about that dealer but It is very common for dealers to rip off their customers, both when selling cars and servicing them.
