Hey Scotty.... I’m buying my first car and I’m having a tuff time deciding between a used Honda Accord and a used Ford Fusion... I’ve heard Honda’s will last you forever and have little to no maintenance but the fusions in my price range have lower mileage and I can buy a newer fusion for the same price as an older accord.. please help me decide here. THANK YOU!!!!
A Honda Accord will last you more then 300,000 miles and more and the Ford Fusion will probably not need no work until it hits 100,000 miles then parts start to brake, and not last more then 200,000 miles
@Carlos2468 can you copy and paste your answer into the ‘Your Answer’ box down below? Thank you.
Overall they are both pretty good cars. I would think twice about buying a brand new Accord because for whatever reason Honda turbocharged both engines. You said you are buying used and if the Accord you find is naturally aspirated then it will be better than the Fusion. Also, I would think twice about an Ecoboost Fusion.
If you are planning to keep the vehicle a long time and put well past 100,000 miles on it, definitely go with the Honda Accord even if it’s older and has more mileage. You didn’t give any specific year, model, price, etc. but my advice stands.
Easily the Honda.
I would get a used Accord (2011-2017 years seem to be your best bet)
As for the Fusion, its an OK car. Not particularly great, not bad. If you have to get a newer one, you would want to stick to the 2.5 engine, not the EcoBoost turbocharged engines.
