Code P0740 after replacing CivicR trans with JDM SLXA

Hey Scotty, My CivicR Transmission went out this week after 10k miles since 2022. I bought a transmission from a JDM import shop, but this is a SLXA from Japan. I did some research and it's a direct fit, but there are differences internally. They will pop up a check engine for a P0740. Is there a repair to counter this when I get back on the road? I travel 35 minutes on the freeway to get to work almost every day.

This is why I tell people it's not a good idea to use Japanese car parts on an American model car. Often the software wiring and or sensors do not mesh correctly. As far as I know. There's nothing you can do about it if it runs okay.

So I just have to live with it with that check Engine?

Scotty does not usually revisit topics he has already answered.

It looks like that's about the size of it unless you can find someone who has done that swap and figured it out. It is difficult to mix and match components that way in modern cars because of the complex computer interfaces.

I been researching and another tech told me the reason why the transmission is shifting rough is do to the A/T Clutch pressure control solenoid valve. My symptoms are delay shifting and rough/choppy shifting. The diagram said to use solenoid A and B. Other sellers are selling B&C solenoid.

As mentioned by @chucktobias , unless you can find someone who has successfully swapped (and programmed) these specific components, this is guesswork.
