Hi Scotty,
I am currently in the market for a SUV and I am currently looking at a Honda CRV with the following specs:
Honda Cr-V 2014 (14 reg) 2.0 i-VTEC SR 4x4 5dr. Automatic Petrol, 2 Owners with 63,000 miles with the following fuel economy figures: Urban: 28.0 mpg. Extra urban: 45.6 mpg. Combined: 36.7 mpg. I am going to try and push the seller for £10,000.
Here is a link to it: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202107205246857?fromSavedAds=true&advertising-location=at_cars
I ran a scan tool, with no error codes. Body is in good shape with a little surface rust on the bottom. No rust in the spare wheel area in the boot (trunk).
The only hesitation I have is that its a 4x4/AWD. With the 4x4/AWD system being 'always on' i know it will drink a little more fuel, but is there any risk of this 4x4 system failing on these Honda's. Would this be a good buy?
Thanks
We have a 2001 CRV. 170,000 miles. Never had a problem with the AWD.
Do change the rear differential and transmission fluid though.
