2005 Honda CRV - 5 smog tests not passed.3 days with diagnostics no answer. Battery tested. 160,000 miles
Tomorrow he is replacing spark plugs. Catalytic converter is marginal, says the mechanic.
help! thank you
no problems passing in prior years.
do i need a new $1200 converter?

Scotty says you can clean the cat (catlytic converter) with Laquer thinner. There was a video on that, you can do that as a last resort.
