Honda CVT fluid change

My 2015 Accord is approaching 35,000 miles. I've heard that CVT transmission fluid should be changed more often than the manual states. Should I consider changing it now?

Thank you!

Change it, low mileage....

It is time to change it. Do it every 30k miles or so, or when the car tells you with the code.

Honda fluid only!

I would say change it. As Scotty has said "Lifetime fluid" is BS. Plus, those CVT trannys really need their routine maintenance. Hondas are kind of picky about their fluid so I would personally buy the OEM honda fluid as well just to be safe. If you don't want to buy the expensive Honda fluid, at least make sure that the fluid you will use meets the specifications that your owners manual calls for.

I plan to drain and fill every 30-40k miles on our Honda HRV.

At least you can check the condition of the fluid, and the amount of gunk on the drain plug magnet.

Hoping someone experienced can give recommendations on when to change the filter (or is there 2 filters?) on the CVT's.
