Looking to buy a late 80's early 90s goldwing highway bike, between 2 and 3 grand. Is this a good choice or is there something similar but better.

No those are great highway bikes. Just pay a mechanic to check them out before you buy

Excellent, quality bikes. Just have it checked out thoroughly and they can be great buys.

I have a 1980 Honda cb900custom and it still runs like a rapped ape. Honda built a good motorcycle in the 80's. I would say that the goldwing was worth it if it did not have too many miles on it. Mine has 28,000 miles on it.
