Horn switch inop

Hello I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 ls 4.8l with 115,000mil automatic and the other day my truck died I did not use it for one month and I was able to jump start right away but I noticed today that my horn wasn’t working when I hit it but when I lock my truck or hit panic it work I have an aftermarket train horn and the original horn both hooked up I was trying the horn like crazy and it finally came back but this is not the first time the horn didn’t work do you know why this would happen and if I need to fix anything thank you and stay safe.

Well I would check the system for shorts first. If it sits and it doesn't start that means you have a battery drain. Many things can drain the battery but you've got that weird horn set up could be the horns are draining it


@scottykilmer hello so now when I turn the wheel fully the horn doesn’t work but if it’s in the middle the horn works but not all the time do you know what could be the cause thank you and stay safe
