Hello Scotty I am Bilal from Pakistan, Greetings. I have Toyota Corona 1992 3SFE 2.0 litre petrol automatic with 313,000 km. I am having problem in hot start engine, let me tell you on guage engine light not working maybe light is broken or something else, I dont know. I just bought the car 4 months ago. Last week done all suspension, mounts, shocks, alignment work. but the problem I am discussing was before that work done. Ok to the point, when I start the car cold anytime of the day it start perfectly on half turn of the key and move like mustang on just the touch of gas pedal, runs perfectly all is good. but as the engine get warmer/hot car feel a very little struggle with very little engine vibration that even dont feel when car stops and in neutral, but when the engine is switched off and after some time I try to start it, car takes long cranking to start or start with little pressed gas pedal with dropping rpm from 600-700 and then I have to keep pedal pressed a bit to make rpm normal to 800-850. Now when car is hot it again have very little struggle with little engine vibration, if there are passengers in car 2-3-4, car struggle bit more to move and silencer start making sound a bit and if I am on long straight way with passengers that struggle is more, and struggle is worse if I drive in night time with headlights turned on even without passengers and sometime it feels like engine lost all its power even the gas pedal is completely pressed and after few seconds the power come back. Now I think main problems are, 1. hard hot start, 2. cant take load of weight and electricity. Kindly help me what could be the culprit? Electric problem, fuel supply?

Also there is no MAF sensor on cold air intake, I dont know, no sign or place or symptom of that, maybe air filter cover is changed...

Forgot to add, during normal run or struggling run, temperature needle stay normal and rpm is normal on 800, also no coolant loss and no oil loss in car

For the hot start issue, clean the injectors, you might have dirty/clogged injectors. For the other issue, I would load test the battery and alternator.

Ok I will check for all of these and update

have checked battery and alternator, they are giving perfect voltage, will check injectors, plugs, plugs wires and distributor soon

You don't have a MAF sensor. You have a MAP sensor and your symptoms could fit a bad MAP sensor or its manifold connector hose.

I think they mounted the MAP sensor on the firewall on the Coronas and it has a hose going to the intake manifold.

Might be worth inspecting the hose and testing the map sensor

I think they're still a little expensive for your 30 year old Corona so you may want to try using an aftermarket one.

ok I will...

Thanks everyone for your help, I checked everything as mentioned here and related to what could be issue. But the problem was unexpected, when I took out plug cables and spark plugs, they were oily, tappet cover seals around plugs sockets were worn out and pushing oil in plug sockets, cleaned them out, changed all 4 seals around plug sockets, put in new cables(in case). And car have gained all its power and starting problem is gone 👍🏻👌
