How can one get the "OFF" climate control button for a 2014 Toyota Prius C unstuck?

The "OFF" button for my household's 2014 Toyota Prius C's climate control system is currently stuck in a depressed position.  It seems to me that its current position is preventing the climate control system from staying on after I let my finger off the "AUTO" button.  Is there a lifehack or whatever that can get the "OFF" button unstuck without one having to resort to removing the instrument panel or whatever?  For the record, my household's 2014 Toyota Prius C currently has 199,862 miles on the odometer.  It has a CVT transmission, which is a type of automatic transmission.  Unfortunately, it has a permanent OBDII error code of P0A80.  (Keep in mind that my father recently replaced the car's main battery; the original main battery conked out on my sister back in 2019.)

All right, what you might try is to get a very thin pic and try to get it behind the side and try to pop the button back up. Sometimes that works and sometimes you have to get two tiny pics and put one on each side
