Hey Scotty! I’ve been trying to get my dad to get rid of my to be first car. It’s got 122,000 miles on in. The door entry sensors don’t work neither does the steering wheel tilt. How do I get him to get rid of it?
Find a buyer who’ll pay top dollar for it. Ask them to make your dad an offer he can’t refuse..
Or tell him you are not my dady lol
Just tell him you will spend a fortune to repair these and parts are so expensive.
Easiest way is just tell your Dad you really don’t want that for a first car. Explain to him and show him reviews, reports etc where they start to fall apart and get expensive to fix after 100k miles. When it’s time for it to be yours see if he will let you trade it in or sell it to buy something else. If you have a job and some money saved to put towards a car that would help your situation.
Sometimes cars get parked for the littlest things. I’ve bought 2 vehicles recently that had been sitting for a year or two. Paid 100 for one, 200 for the other. Got them both running and road worthy less than a thousand total. Not something you wanna try blindly or inexperienced though, but if you know a good mechanic near you that can help it’s a possibility to drive around and see cars that have obviously been parked. Knock in the door and ask questions. That’s another option.
