I have a 2010 ford explorer that has 174,000 miles. It runs fine but will sometimes shut off while moving slowly. My dad and I used his scan tool and we got a P0404 code which is an EGR code and a P0443 code which is a purge valve circuit code. So we replaced the egr sensor and it still has the service engine light. We also replaced the purge valve sensor, the throttle body motor that moves the valve, and the vacuum hoses that connect to the egr. Any ideas to what could be the problem? Thanks
Well did you replace the actual EGR valve that could go bad and do all that. Also check the wiring if you get codes in unrelated system sometimes it's a wiring fault or computer failure
Yes we put an original EGR valve in it and thank you. Ill check the lines and see if there is anything wrong with them.
