How do you get the Shock dampener off of an automatic 06 ' Cadillac DTS inner tie rod? Manual says it slides off but it's locked in place with little movement.

Okay, it's 20 years old. Everything is probably seized up. Spray a bunch of WD-40 on it, then gently tap it with hammer and if you have any access with the bushings are on. If you can get any kind of suspension fork removing tool in that space and tap it with a hammer, the wedge should make it come loose enough
