I'm trying to replace my intake manifold on my 2011 Crown Vic, and I can't seem to figure out how to kill the fuel to the rail so I can remove it. My car has the newer inertia switch in the truck which can't be simply popped up to disengage like the older ones. Can't find any info and the owner's manual tells you nothing.

Pull the fuse or relay for the fuel pump?

This video shows how to replace the intake manifold on a mustang. At 1:26 he quickly shows how to unplug the fuel pump driver module and inertia switch. You then crank the engine to clear fuel from the lines. I believe the procedure is the same for your Crown Vic. I hope it helps.

Just pull the fuse, run the engine till it stalls out and there is no more pressure in the system.

I think I'm going to go with pulling the fuse(s) if I can't locate fuel pump driver module to disconnect it. Thanks guys.
