I am looking to buy a good suv (7-8 seater) around 40-45k, came across some of the models like Toyota Highlander Hybrid, Acura MDX.
How is 2020 acura MDX engine, worth to buy or do you recommend any other SUV at this price point?

Acuras are decent but the big SUV usually has transmission issues especially AWD I would look for a non-hybrid Toyota Highlander the engines of Acuras made by Honda and Honda makes excellent engines but the transmissions are somewhat weak.

Just get the Lexus RX350 instead & enjoy 20+ yrs of fuss free ownership.
Highlander or RX would outlast MDX like you said.
