Hey, hope you are doing well!
I was hoping to get ur opinion on what is to much investment for a vehicle.
I treaded a 3-wheeler for a 2004 f150 4.6 with 202k miles. 3-wheeler cost me 800 bucks so I practically got the truck for 800.
I have put about a total of 1200 in parts like tries, whole new front end, power steering pump, camshaft sensor and egr valve, and oil change. (Did all the work myself, did pay for an alignment)
so I’m about 2k into the truck and I saw that the guy before me out a rear end in with 4.10 gears (guessing for pulling) truck is originally 3.65. So I found out that is why the 4x4 burns and doesn’t work well.
I took the front cv axles out because I didn’t want someone to drive my truck throw it into 4x4 and break something. So the truck is 2wd atm, needs a rear axle (if I want 4x4).
is a truck like that worth putting money into or do I drive it until it brakes if it’s to much to fix just junk it?
thank you
Well they don't make them like they used to. Those old trucks are pretty solid. May I just keep fixing it and driving
