I have bad paranoid, so I ended up cutting the wires to my car that are in the trunk. When I did this, I had my car turned on, when I turned it off and then back on after cutting the wires. Now my dashboard is all lit up with a a lot of issues, and my shifting gear won’t move. Unless I use a screwdriver to push down the shift release. 2018 Hyundai Elantra

Find a wiring diagram and connect the wires. When you cut the wires, the brake switch function is likely messed up, that's why you can not change the gears.
