[Solved] How often to get Honda Civic Valves adjusted/checked?

Hi, I bought a used Honda Civic (2013) CVT about two years ago and now it has 86,000 miles on it works just fine but I heard online that Hondas need their valves adjusted as regular maintenance. When I bought the car it didn't come with a Manuel so how often would you recommend checking and or adjusting the valves? By the way, what's the difference in a valve adjustment and a valve clearance? I don't know anything about cars but want my civic to last as long as possible.

In this Honda CRV manual, the process is called "Valve Clearance Adjustment." So, they're probably not two different things: https://www.hcrv.net/valve_clearance_adjustment-1624.html

Scotty's discussed this in the video Q&As recently. If memory serves me well, he mentioned a figure close to your 86K.

Thank you so much! <3

Every 60k miles you should have them adjusted. So you are due. 🙂
