Hello, I finished my transmission fluid change yesterday was checking the dipstick a few times. I haven't found much information on whether to check the fluid when the car is cold or when its been driven. All I know for sure is the car should be turned OFF. I did an afternoon cold check and it was about 75% but when the car was warmed up it was Just under max.
Thanks
Manual? Automatic? CVT?
What does your owners manual say? Every car I’ve ever done has been warm with the engine running for transmission fluid.
UPDATE:
From Hondas website
For the reading to be as accurate as possible, the vehicle should be parked on a level surface and the transmission fluid level should be checked with the engine running, and completely warmed up. ... The safest way to add fluid back into the transmission is with the use of a funnel.
It says to have local dealer to look at it. I read online that car should be warmed then parked on a level ground and then check the transmission dipstick with the car turned off
Thanks
