I just bought a 2010 lincoln town car 74k miles. the driver's seat moves backwards and forwards, but it cannot go all the way up. How do i fix it?

I'm confused. So it doesn't go up, or forward?
Find out what's stopping it and fix it.

Disconnect the battery, unplug the applicable electrical connectors to the seat, unbolt it, take it out to a work bench and see whats wrong with the adjustment mechanism or the tracks.
