I have a Red Daihatsu Sirion 2006. Where I live is blazing hot in the summer and all cars ( new and old ) eventually get sun damage.
I has washing and waxing my car trying to prevent sun damage almost every weekend if I had time. I just used products found locally they would shine the car OK but they didn't seem to protect from UV rays of the sun.
So I got some light sun damage which I treated professionally. Can anyone recommend 2-3 products that can use to protect the car from sun damage ? I ask for 2-3 products so I have options while searching locally because I don't think I can find everything here.
I park outside so that I part of the problem but I do cover the car when possible.
If there any ingredient I should look on the bottle when choosing a product ?

Keep the car under the cover as much as possible. I would also keep a really good wax job on the paint and park under a tree if you can find one. Bird droppings can attack your paint, but if you get something like Mother's Spray Wax or Meguiar's Quick Detailer, you can spray that on and wipe the droppings off with a microfiber towel. The base wax you put on will also sacrifice itself before the acidic poop gets to the paint.
If you have a local tint shop, go get your side and rear windows tinted. That will keep the UV rays from destroying your interior and keep a sunshade in the windshield to keep the sun from destroying the dash through the windshield. I'm not sure what the laws are for window tint on your windshield in your area, but it's pretty much illegal where I live.
Thanks for your reply. Is there a wax with properties against UV rays?. I had been waxing my car but in the end it did not protect it
Carnauba wax should be in any quality wax. I use Mother's Liquid Wax. Make sure you wax in the morning when the sun isn't baking the car. That can cause damage to the paint as well. Wax in the shade if you want to do it during the day
I only use Griot's Garage products. Expensive but worth every penny.

Meguiars/Sonax/TurtleWax/Armorall from the PDF. Basically stick to a good name brand product with good reviews.
