2004 Honda Pilot, 132k miles

Had an issue with fuel pump where a hose inside broke off was very brittle. Had someone try to put this hose on from other fuel pump. But looks like it's not on very good. No room for a clamp. So wondering if maybe jbweld all around it, to make sure it's on there good. I think might leak a little bit on side as can see in photo not sure.

Where can I buy these hoses and anyone know what size this one is for this specific pump?

Truthfully wants that plastic crap breaks you have to replace the old plastic assembly. JB weld is not made to work on your pressure and gasoline. And since it's plastic, you can't weld it. That's the thing with plastic. When the plastic piece breaks and as part of an assembly, you always have to replace the entire assembly

@scottykilmer is there anything I can do for now until my fuel pump comes in? Couldn't afford it at the store I called orileys and everyone. Price was 300+.

Found new on ebay for $60 will take 1-2weeks to get here. I live in Hawaii so takes longer.

Not really. You can't do much with that kind of plastic, especially being immersed in gasoline.

Good luck with that. Ebay is notorious for poor-quality knockoff parts that either fail quickly or don't even work at all.

Do you really want to be going into the gas tank twice? I would use the absolute best pump I could find (typically genuine OEM)

About 20 years ago, an uncle of mine ran into a problem with a fuel pump that was just like the problem you are experiencing now.

A woman's fuel pump had gone out on a late-90s Tahoe. She had bought the AC-Delco fuel pump and she gave it to my uncle to change instead of a mechanic, because they were going to charge too much.

He installed the fuel pump, but he accidentally dropped the fuel tank after he had connected the fuel line and fuel return hose, breaking both connections.

The woman was paying what it cost for the fuel pump itself, which was like $250. 13-year-old me examined the two pumps and I came up with an idea to splice out the old fuel pump and install the new fuel pump in the old fuel pump's housing. My uncle tried it, and it worked like a charm. It was actually perfectly fine until the lady totalled the car a few years later.

You cannot glue those parts back together, or JB Weld them. Pressure at the fuel pump can be upwards of 60 PSI. If that repair fails, you risk turning your car into a motorized molotov cocktail, which is EXTREMELY dangerous!

Don't use eBay for really anything automobile-related; I recently bought another plastic chrome grille for my truck off of eBay Motors because the chrome was peeling off of mine. I friend and I swapped out the old grille for the new, and shortly after I noticed that the new grille is ever so slightly smaller on the passenger side than the driver's side. The Chinese also made the grille all chrome; the original Motorcraft grille was chrome and black. If the Chinese can't manufacture a basic grille without messing up, there's a problem.

This marine epoxy jbweld won't work?

Says 5k psi, waterproof and gas chemical resistant.

Could it work for a week or two until I receive fuel pump in mail?

So your saying the jbweld could fall apart and go into the car thru the fuel injectors and stuff and cause serious damage?

@lavaflow2025 The JB Weld itself might be "waterproof and gas chemical resistant" but it is not likely to adhere well to the plastic of the fuel pump assembly. If pieces get into the fuel system it could certainly cause damage.
